The Cleveland Browns was formed in 1946 as a charter member of the All-America Football Conference (AAFC). In 1950 when AAFC was abolished, they joined the NFL. The Browns are based in Cleveland, Ohio and are members of the North Division of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the National Football League (NFL).
The Cleveland Browns has 8 league championships so far. But in spite of having the 6th highest winning percentage of all NFL teams, the Browns haven’t played in a league championship since 1970. However, they have played in the AFC Championship 3 times.
